Quality control is a continuous, data-led process across the product journey. The central laboratory at Khabarovsk Oil Refinery checks feedstock, intermediate streams and finished petroleum products.

The laboratory’s place in the process

NNK’s official material describes the central refinery laboratory as an important link in production. It controls the quality of products made and dispatched by the refinery and tests them against technical regulations and applicable product documentation.

Three control points

  1. 01

    Incoming feedstock

Analysis of crude entering the refinery establishes the starting point for subsequent process control.

  2. 02

    Intermediate products

The laboratory checks petroleum streams leaving process units before a finished commercial batch is formed.

  3. 03

    Finished products

Commercial petroleum products undergo final checks against defined parameters before dispatch.

Why quality supports safety

Regular measurement reduces uncertainty: a deviation can be identified before a product moves to the next stage. For an industrial culture, this means relying on procedures, repeatable test methods and documented results.

This article describes the published control framework. It does not replace certificates of quality, technical regulations or documents for a specific product batch.
